As someone who struggles with anxiety, I wanted to put my beast into a more bestial form. My mind decides to lie to me, and make me feel inadequate, and it makes it harder for me to see the truth of the situation. Putting my anxiety into a physical form that is separate from myself allows me to confront it like a physical enemy, a nemesis of my mind, and it helps.
My anxiety's form is inspired by the Wendigo, a beast of lore, and a "spirit of lonely places.” One of it's abilities is the power to "mimic human voices" to lure its' victims. (https://allthatsinteresting.com/wendigo).
Anxiety does the same, it mimics the voices of those you trust, alluring you to believing the lies it whispers in your head.
